You know one good thing about this, is that it has me writing (typing?) again. And it’s good for my soul to write (if I have a soul). Anyway, on to the scheduled topic.
It is a little past noon on day 2 of the V diet. I had to take my mom to the ER today so I am just now drinking my 2nd shake. I stopped at Wally World on the way back from the hospital and picked up some flax seed and natural peanut butter. I added flax seed to the shake I am drinking now. It makes the shake a little thicker, but other than that, I can’t really taste it.
I ate probably 2-3 Tablespoons of peanut butter last night. Not because I was hungry or anything but just because 5 shakes only comes out to 1350 calories. I didn’t want to be below 1600. So that is why I got the flax seed and the natural peanut butter today, to bump up the cals for the day. Oh, I also grabbed some calcium gel tabs because I know I need more calcium, and want to get in the habit of taking them, maybe it will help cure my shins.
So, how was day 1? It was ok, I was never hungry. I never ‘felt’ hungry. There were a few times that I thought ‘it would be nice to eat something’, but it wasn’t real physical hunger. I find myself having to make sure I drink the protein drinks on time each day, otherwise I start feeling sluggish and disconnected. Maybe even a bit nauseated. But as soon as I drink a shake it all goes away and I feel fine. The thing is, I don’t feel hungry. So I have to make myself go drink a shake. I also realize I didn’t drink enough water yesterday and I need to do A LOT more of that. I only had 1 32 oz cup of water. That’s not good enough. I will be making sure I drink a 32 oz cup in between each shake.
I took my photos last night, I’m apprehensive about posting them though. I look terrible. So fat and out of shape. I guess I can go ahead and post them, doing so will probably make me focus more on getting in better shape so that the after pics look a lot better.
I also need to start doing kettlebell swings, Hopefully I can get up the motivation to do some today. We shall see. Oh and I weighed myself this morning, even though I am only supposed to weigh in once a week according to the V-diet guys, but then again they say I need to order $600 worth of their product to do this, and I didn’t listen to that either. The scale read 221.2
